Portland Calligraphy’s mission is to unite calligraphers, penmen, and lettering artists who live in the Portland Area through meetups.

This group aims to rejuvenate the great tradition of regularly gathering in person with colleagues, friends, and teachers to enjoy each other’s company and exchange ideas.

This page will have any upcoming meetings posted below. To become a member, you simply have to come to one of our free meetings and be interested in calligraphy.

Next Meeting: Thursday, June 25th from 6:30-8:00pm at Ava’s Roasteria.

At this meeting, David will demonstrate some simple offhand flourishing exercises for everyone to try. Bring a straight holder with a flexible pointed pen (Hunt 101 for beginners) and some writing paper. David will provide the ink so that there aren’t too many open jars on the table. See you there!
